Tokyo 03 (東京03) is a Japanese comedy trio known for their elaborated scenarios. Their plots deeply describe the contemporary Japanese “Salary-man” (white-caller worker)’s sorrow. They are excellent about making fun of ordinary men’s trifle pride and unnecessary considerations. They are so popular especially among Japanese Millennial that their stage tickets are difficult to obtain.

Tokyo 03 members are Iizuka, Toyomoto, and Kakuta. Iizuka usually plays a role of tsukkomi (straight man). Toyomoto and Kakuta play roles of Boke (funny man).

Let’ learn a real-life Japanese culture together through their short stories with English subtitle.

Scenario 1: A man visited a real estate agency to find his new apartment. His budget was so low, but an agent tried to make unlikely negotiations with property owners again and again only because he wanted to look capable.

Scenario 2: Marketing reps from a convenience store chain met a cake shop owner to discuss the collaboration, but they were panicked after they made rude mistakes during the meeting.

Scenario 3: A man secretly got engaged with his female boss. He confessed it to his coworker. He asked his coworker to pretend that he didn’t know anything when she showed up as a surprising guest.
