This Meetup is for anybody who wants to learn Japanese language and culture, practice English and Japanese conversation. The venue is shared office space with relaxed atmosphere. We would like to plan activities such as short Japanese lessons and cultural presentations utilizing a projector, screen, and audio system.
Meetup Schedule
6:00-6:15 Arrivals, Check-Ins, and Social
6:15-6:30 Short Japanese lesson
Topic: When you travel to Japan + Very Basic Kanji (1st Grade Level)
6:30-6:45 Self-introduction Time
6:45-7:00 Talk in Japanese
7:00-7:10 Break or keep talking
7:10-7:25 Japanese cultural presentation or planned activity
Topic: Introduction to Japanese underground #1 Yakuza
7:25-7:50 free conversation (Japanese or English)
7:50-8:00 short reflection & closing
Schedule is tentative. It may change according to participants’ requests and levels.
PAYMENT NOTE: The fee is sliding scale ($5 – $10), and you may pay using Paypal at: https://www.paypal.me/encorepreneurcafe in advance or pay in cash or card at the door. It will be used to rent the space and help to keep this meetup group going. We will provide coffee, tea, water, and snacks. Thank you!
日本語を学びたい。英語の練習がしたい。日本語を教えたい。そんな交流と学習のためのMeetupです。どなたでもお越しください。会場は、落ち着いた雰囲気のシェアオフィススペースです。プロジェクターやスクリーン、マイクや音響設備もありますので、それらを生かした短い日本語レッスンやカルチャー紹介なども組み込んでいきたいと思います。

7:10-7:25 日本文化プレゼンテーション、またはアクティビティ
日本のアンダーグラウンド。その１：やくざ
7:25-7:50 会話の時間（日本語でも英語でも）
7:50-8:00 振り返り
スケジュールは、参加者の希望やレベルに合わせて変わる可能性があります。
